Matt Begley, Safety Director

Matt has a long history in the safety business.  He worked for five years as a Safety Coordinator for an asbestos abatement and industrial painting company before working several years as a safety consultant.  He went on to work as a safety instructor for contractors working at Eastman Chemical Company in Kingsport. 

Matt has been at the Tri-Cities Branch for nearly four years now.  He feels as if he has made a difference in bringing safety issues to the forefront.  “I feel that maybe somewhere along the line I may have saved a life or serious injury because of my recognition of hazards on the job or possibly in some of my safety classes.”  Matt knows about danger on the job having also worked for years in the coal mining and logging industries.
