Tom Hutto, Safety Director

Tom was born in Louisiana and spent his childhood traveling in the South before settling in Chattanooga.  He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville graduating with a degree in Biology.  While in college, Tom began working in the construction aggregate industry for Stone Man, Inc. (later Hanson Building Materials)  He worked for the company for 24 years  beginning in quality control and later becoming the area safety manager.  During this time he earned the designation of Certified (Mining) Safety Professional. Tom has been with the AGC of East Tennessee for a year and a half now where he is very pleased to offer his safety knowledge to the membership.
